This is pretty straightforward procedure, but with some glitches.
1. Buy or have ready your Windows 10 or 11 PRO license key, but do not enter it yet.
2. Go to Settings --> Activation --> Change product key and first enter generic key to trigger edition upgrade. If you have HOME key burned into BIOS, you will probably need to disconnect from internet to avoid getting 0x803fa067 or 0x80070490 error during the process:
So here are public generic keys to activate specific editions. Note, that those are NOT some stolen or pirate keys, but official keys, meant only for installation or upgrade process. Of course, windows will not activate with this keys, it will only install proper edition.
Windows 11 Home YTMG3-N6DKC-DKB77-7M9GH-8HVX7
Windows 11 Pro VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T
Windows 11 Enterprise XGVPP-NMH47-7TTHJ-W3FW7-8HV2C
Enter the above key when offline, and Windows should begin edition upgrade process.
3. Then reboot machine, connect back to internet and go to Settings --> Activation --> Change product key
Now here enter the proper Licence key, which you bought. This time you must be connected to internet and activation should pass without problems.
