Ever since Windows XP the RDP Remote Desktop has a weird special keys mapping problem with right AltGr key, which persists even across latest newest Windows 10 (rolling upgrade 1809 at the moment of writing).
SYMPTOMS
AltGr + other keys simply do not generate the expected special character. For example, on my EE/SLO/CRO keyboard it is AltGr + V => should generate @ symbol...but sometimes it simply does not. Or AltGr + . generates > symbol, but again, sometimes it does not work.
CAUSE
Windows RDP Remote Desktop CLIENT bug, which somehow seems to map keyboard to remote computer and then back to local computer...but forgets to map back the problematic AltGr key. This only happens in case, when you switch back/forth to/from RDP session using ALT+TAB key combination. When you switch back/forth to/from RDP session with MOUSE, then AltGr key is mapped properly to desired screen.
SOLUTION
AFAIK Microsoft has not yet provided any solution, as they do not consider this bug critical enough, despite it has been around for a decade.
WORKAROUND
When you face th described problem, simply use a MOUSE to switch to any opened RDP session and switch back to your computer screen still using the mouse...and voila! Problem gone
